Adult Education Programs
ABE/High School Equivalency-GED Prep*
Our Adult Basic Education/High School Equivalency-GED Prep Course helps students build their academic skills and prepare to take the Official High School Equivalency (GED) exam. Like many other states across the U.S.A, the State Of Michigan now issues High School Equivalency certificates. Students are required to register and test prior to the beginning of class. Students are put on a two-night a week schedule according to testing results. Classes run by semester September-January and January-May. Students will receive an overview/review of the skills necessary to pass the test. Teacher lead instruction, online supplemental materials, career ready skills, technology and progress testing are all parts of our path to success. At the end of the each semester, students have the opportunity to do a practice HSE/GED test to assess test readiness. Students are encouraged to continue with classes until they pass all sections of the Official test (beyond a semester, if necessary).
